Brrrrp.....bean and egg tacos (those are burritos for the unenlightened) consumed. Contemplating the day's events which include dog walking, leaf pick up, motorcycling.

Good morning!
I had the Infotainment nav on my Street Glide. It was okay, but plotting routes with waypoints was a pita and didn't work very well at all. And they charged for map updates! By the time I traded it in it looked like I was cutting through fields on half my routes! I'm sure by your version they are improved. But I still hear people aren't thrilled with them and many add the aftermarket gps. That dude who did the 100K in 100 days runs a Zumo XT and had infotainment.

I am still threatening to do that Relive app you and Chuck are using, Bob. As for GPS?....Google maps on the cell phone seems to be easy and continually up to date.

I use the Harley ride planner and I will award it two “mehs” which is Canadian for “it works but don’t expect it to give you a handjob”. It is a little touchy on waypoints and I have to make sure that they aren’t off the route of travel. Fortunately, there is a skip waypoint function now and you can bypass them. It is a little slow when searching for POIs, but I like being able to do it while moving. There are times when it gets stuck on an upcoming or passed maneuver. It happens….

Morning MarkyDos!

The Relive app is fun.

I keep getting hosed when using Google maps on my phone. My last trip was fraught with frustration. I sent myself routes that I had created on the laptop, but when I opened them on my phone they wouldn't actually navigate. No place to hit "start". I played with it for hours and finally gave up and wrote it down on paper. Plus if you lose cell signal.....

Morning Woods.

I’m still not too happy with the gps on the bike. I’ve updated my maps this spring, used the ride planner for the route I want to ride and it changes when uploaded to the bike. We had to rely on my brothers gps a few times. Kind of a PITA. It’s one Canadian meh.
