TOAK, The Thread of All Knowledge Part XIII
That looks good, Bill. Is the pea gravel loose, or is it infused with a adherent to keep it from scattering?
I plan on trying to get more out of the 110" kit that it has with a proper tune. I am skeptical that was done when it was built at a dealership. There are a couple indys around Denver that I will visit. I don't necessarily need every ounce of power, but I'm sure there's more to be had. And after my conversation with Nick, I don't trust RMHD.
Yes, it is their "Tire Shredder" kit. Cylinders, heads, pistons. cams, 58MM throttle body, injectors, intake.
Are you at all concerned about the robustness of the stock crankshaft?.
Not really. I have seen just a couple posts in here about it actually happening, but a lot more speculation about how it "could" happen.
ETA: I've been waiting for the crank in my '04 98", supposedly one of the weakest of that era, to blow up for 25,000 miles.
