Being snowed in for any length of time doesn't really happen. Might get a storm or 2 that may shut things down for a day or 2 but most snows are of the inch or 2 at a time. Very little salt is used on the streets and highways. I've been able to ride at least a few weekend days every month through the winter since I've owned my Softail. Being closer to the sun really makes a difference in how long the snow sticks around.
