Moostangs back. I forgot how much I enjoy a fast car. Till I joined the army, all we did was build cars, drink beer and smoke funny smelling cigarettes.

Article in todays paper talking about shortage of snow plow and salt spreader drivers. This could be a tough winter here in Michigan! And there are a lot of signs and commercials for bus drivers here too!

 

Thanks Mick. Actually I'm happy about it. It got me off my *** and out looking for a better job. That will happen no matter what because very little would be worse. If the job I'm waiting to hear on works out - great! Problem solved. If not, I'll play the piano while this ship sinks and either get a healthy severance or they'll offer me a different position. Which I hear is already in the works. Even though I'm not happy with the current situation, I could see staying on in a new role. One that has me living somewhere warm. Scottsdale is still the goal. But New Mexico, Utah, Texas, North Carolina, Tennessee......all on the table as far as I am concerned.

 

I think you should become a Canadian Supreme Court Justice, Bob. The outfits are fabulous.

I'm debating my next move.....as far as bidding what I want to do at my werk........all the jobs suck, if you deliver freight then you end up doing what the other drivers around you either can't or won't do.......bid the road, and that opens you up to driving in the shittiest road conditions that come up......and if I bid forklift duty (no driving) then it's a 20% cut in pay because I have a cdl, meanwhile the guys without a cdl enjoy full rate and do half the werk......it really is a no win scenario.
