Stan, a quick check of William Hopper, the actor who played Paul on Perry Mason, was the descendant of a notable Quaker who was involved in the Underground Railroad.

It does appear that Paul turned away from his Quaker heritage in his frequent participation at Happy Hour .....on the show.....if I recall.
