Lemme know if you need any help devouring it, Jeff.

I think I have idea how you feel, I had just filled out the retirement papers to leave in December but hadn't turned them in yet when an early out program was announced. To get it, had to stay till the end of March, just hated the thought of driving through an extra Minnysoda winter, but financially it worked out to around 2 bucks just getting a refill from the shop coffe pot. Those extra 3 months seemed like the longest 3 months I ever worked. Most money I ever put in the bank in one year, and only worked 3 months of it. Did collect SS and pension right away, though. If I'd retired in December, would have dipped into savings, I wouldn't have been able to collect SS or pension until April anyway.

One of the few things that worked out really good in about 35 years with airlines, that career always seemed like two steps forward and one back. Or was it one forward and two back. Strikes, unions, layoffs, paycuts...

Windiest day in a long time, worse than yesturday and that was a misery to be out in. No being out in it today. Hot drinks, food prep, and maybe something on streaming later. Won't be Disney, seen all of that I care to and the annual renewal hits in a few days, don't want to do that. Have plenty other and better things for the grandkids, plus they at home, too. Last thing I watched was Jungle Cruise, Dwayne Johnson and Emily Blunt (don't know why I think she's one of the more lucious actresses), expected good, thought it mostly sucked. Disney movies... Too rough for little kids, and gay characters you don't want to explain to the little people, either.

'Nuther cup of coffee coming up, but it won't last long, sure goes through me quick lately. Sit down with it and listen to the wind howl for a while, kinda peaceful.

I grab my one and only cup in about an hour....then off to werk...saw the boss before I left for home from my last shift....sitting on my *** waiting for the car to warm...errr I mean thaw out....on the clock......he didn't say a word except for ''thanks for your help''..............he meant it. It's an easy gig for now...but they have the option to make it suck with a keyboard stroke...which thankfully only happened twice.....since august.

Greg, if you were here you would welcome to a healthy slice. It states on the package that it's best to eat within 3 days or as an alternative it can be frozen. I took it as a challenge. It will not see the freezer.
