TOAK, The Thread of All Knowledge Part XIII
Technique, not size. (Just like sex). Watch Jerry Palladino (Ride Like a Pro) videos where he highlights women barely over 5 feet and 100 lbs tossing touring bikes around.
Chris, given that she is short in stature, I’d look for one of those Street 500’s, they have a low seat. They seem pretty pricey considering what they are though.
In honor of native American heritage month we will be learning about the contributions of queer indigenous and two spirit peoples on campus.
Not unsolicited at all. Thanks for the input. That's why I'm asking.
Hi Lou. Your handle. I picked up a pencil for the first time in a long time and it said SOFT 02 on it. Makes sense since you're a teacher. Sometimes I'm REALLY slow on the take.

Yet another email that I will ignore Mick. Its hard to keep up with all of the cultural appropriation stuff.
Chris, FWIW Ms Tonebender rides a Deluxe. She is not short and not tall at 5'7". She started on a Sporty and moved up to the Deluxe. A Sporty can be lowered, I have known friend's wives that have lowered theirs's. My wife wanted a second bike and I could not talk her into a Sporty. She finally opted for a Triumph America and she really likes it but not as much as the Deluxe. She also took a Scout for a demo ride and did not bond. An inexpensive import may be an option for her first street bike. My wife had a learning curve at low speeds in parking lots or coming to a stop that resulted in several mirrors and levers having to be replaced. Once that seemed to be over and she became more proficient, she moved up. Point being I am glad she did not go through that on a new Deluxe with custom factory paint.

Thank you Jeff and everyone with input. If my Softail wern't a tricked out Springer, it might be a stepping stone, but that bike wants to kill those that ride it lol. She isn't opposed to the smaller imports thankfully. Mick said it best though, and she may not like riding solo. After she takes the class I think she'll be able to make a more informed decision and I won't buy until AFTER that.
