I saw one that appeared in excellent condition somewhere in the back country of Texas on a motorcycle ride, probably 1967. Guy wanted $100 for it and I would have taken it, but we couldn't get it on the luggage rack. True story. Well, I might have remembered the luggage rack a little wrong, but I still couldn't take it home.

Think it was late '69 went to the Dodge dealer with every intention of getting one, but didn't even try driving one. When I got in the driver's seat, realized it was built for shorter people than me, just not enough room for my legs. So I kept the '68 Coronet RT I had, that was a comfortable car and even the back seat had plenty of leg room for me. Memory says that car was faster than my Sportster, but the 1200 is rated almost 2 seconds faster 0-60. Was pretty darn quick in its day, though. That Challenger looked so good to me at the time, I was really disappointed. These days, I don't much care what cars look like, much more concerned about how I'd feel after driving them a few hours. Would like something a little quicker than my pickup with the little Chevy V8, even though I've driven it 740 miles and didn't feel tired or cramped at all.

Glad it wasn't worse for Gloria. I'd be surprised if either of those cars ever roll on the road again. Sent the pics to Audrey, she still seems to remember everyone from WS18.

Good morning all. Glad your wife is ok. Looks like the rain is moving in. I think I will spread some more rye seed this morning just ahead of it. Everyone ride safe.
