I haven't weighed it yet but it does seem pretty light weight similar to a Car Top luggage thingy. I'll have to replace the lift shocks as they are toast, the bottom was reinforced with a heavy and moisture drawing particle wood that had deteriorated. I'll replace it with a sheet of plywood, then carpet it and section it off for appropriate storage. Install some LED lights and a swivel hitch as well is on the menu. I do have reservations about the 8" tires on it. Not sure if I can put 12" on it without significant modification.

I will probably upgrade the clutch to something aftermarket or more durable then stock

Russ, I’m just here for a couple days. Heading back Thursday or Friday depending on the weather.

Nope. Gone. It had 55k miles and I usually dont keep a bike longer than that as my touring rig. It was a great bike all the way through though. Someone got a good one when they bought it.

Better buy LITE beer so it can handle the weight.

I have 42k now on my RG. 50k service will be a significant cost but I do plan to keep it. The knocking on the lower end comes and goes but it not consistent like it was in Arkansas when its cold started. Trailer hitch will void the rest of the warranty which is 1 year remaining in May,

Perhaps I should put a drain in so that when the ice melts it will drip out?
