Evenin, Bob. As one who has busted more than one knuckle attempting to put a pressure gauge on a regular valve stem set up I will give ya this one. By the way, at the biker hotel in Alpine, TX there was a gorgeous light green BMW with a hack. Did not get a pic but wish now I had taken time.

Evening Woods. Bob, happy you're happy. And I'll agree, all motorcycles should have that valve system anymore.

G'Evening, Woods.....Mick, buy an overpriced tire valve extender hose from Harley. Screws on to valve stem and easy to air up /check tire. I used right angle valve stems on the Ultra and work fine also.

That helps, but it's still a pita. The 90 degree stems help too, but you have to make sure they don't have that rubber pressure fit base. They flex when you put the air hose on and I've heard they can tear out at speed. Cheryl's Moto Guzzi has some pretty nice 90 degree valves. But I'm telling you, the BMW way should be the industry standard. It's one of those things that is so simple, but no one seems to do it.

In keeping with that, I submit yet another reason why BMW means Best Motorcycle in the World. Mind you, I try to keep that under wraps here. But I figured even the anti-Teutonic would appreciate this -

All motorcycles should be like this. And the tire pressure monitor is actually pretty accurate!
That’s gay to shoot air into your spoke.

I change the stems to all metal with the first tire change, which on all the bikes I've bought since I lived here needed when I got them. Checked air pressure on one I'd just got, and the rubber stem broke off trying to put a gage on it. It was a 90 degree, bad idea to ever use an angled stem with any rubber in it, acceleration forces work the heck out of it.
