I wouldn’t want to hit one of them suckers lol. Unfortunately, one of our apprentices was coming back from the City with his girlfriend and hit a moose. She survived. He unfortunately did not.

I tried looking up his obituary but can’t find it. I know I have it at work. I’d say 15 to 18 years ago. He was 19 or 20.

Colorado had Shiras moose from Washington and Montana (I think) transplanted about twenty five years ago into the area around Winter Park. They used to be native to the state. The population has really taken off and they are everywhere now.

Found it. Sorta. 2008. He was 18.
