Beech 18, talked to a guy about buying one a long time ago. He wanted $5000, which was cheap even back then, might have let it go for half that, but it was behind on a.d.'s, the 5 grand would have just been a down payment (didn't have the main spar mod, probably the most expensive a.d. they had). Monthly fees, insurance, gas sucking twin radials, gawd awful expensive for fun. It probably would have cost over $20K the first year sitting on the ground. Would have taken at least 2 years to get in decent selling condition, and even in one year I wouldn't have made much, if any, flipping it, and that was if it didn't need much engine work (probably did). Sure would have been fun to fly, though. I've bought cars and motorcycles that were foolish and costly in retrospect, sure glad I never yielded to temptation on an airplane, talk about money pits. Hated turning down that Beech, though, just sitting in the pilot's seat of the old thing made me want to fire it up. I've been in one just running up, loved the sound of the radials.
Going to put a power outlet that has 3 USB ports. The drawers close short so the power cord can come out the bottom. I put one in Mama's wardrobe.

Lou, I am pleased with the news of the new vehicle. That was downright responsible of you! Buying a family vehicle instead of a CVO like Russ suggested.
Whoda thunk it would be so difficult to find a 3/4" deep offset box end wrench?
I'll try HF tomorrow.

G'Morning. Woods, Morning ZEKE ritual done, he slept 8 hours again last night. Thankfully, he's been great with sleeping through the night and I only got up once. He was 3 months old yesterday. Haven't been inside my bank in over a year, I hope they still have the coin machine. I have a metal wash bucket full of change and i'm not wrapping them.
