Audrey (daughter) was going to hold her just turned 5 girl for another year to start kindergarten because so many people did that last year that this year's classes are reported to be larger than usual, decided to put her in a pre-school instead - also since she's almost minimum age to start, she'd be months younger than many of her classmates, something I don't see as a problem. That school announced this week everybody, even the pre-schoolers, would have to wear masks. Audrey didn't want to put her through that so cancelled that. Now it looks like she'll put her in kindergarten in a private school, no masks unless the state requires it, and only 18 kids per class. I didn't say so, but I thought holding the girl back a year would almost be like starting life a year late, not a good thing to me; this removes that negative at least. The big negative doing this I can see at this point is the cost, not cheap. At least she can afford it, and if she couldn't, I could. I don't know what the best answers are, but all the different reactions to covid are sure making life complicated for a lot of people.

Did a Sam's Club run this morning, signs out front recommending masks but they weren't mandatory. I'd say less a fourth of the people there wore one. I didn't get everything I planned to, lot of bare spots on the shelves, store looked like it did over a year ago when people were panic hoarding. Asked an employee what was going on, she said the store can't get enough employees to keep the shelves stocked. There were a lot of pallets in the aisles, but I only saw two women stocking shelves. Keep those federal unemployment/welfare checks coming... Anybody miss Trump yet?

Hope all the family folks get better soon, sometimes you'd rather be sick yourself than a wife or child.

Halito Mick, Juan, Woods, Toaks, Posers, Lurkers..... another great looking day.
Moldy.... I certainly hate seeing all that equipment left over there. I don't understand why the did not move certain pieces out of the area sooner...especially if they knew what was coming down. I would have placed equipment into large groups and detonate some explosives around that would scatter parts for miles. JUst don't give those asshats anything that could be used against us.
Wife and I are both born on the same day.... in October.... we both started school (different towns, different school districts) when we were 4. I did ok until 4-5-6 grade then struggled. She did well all the way through. I was youngest in our class, seemed to struggle with a number of things.... but did pass everything and graduate. We held our son (born in October too!!) back a year and sent him through. I think the extra year helped. Wife said she did well but I feel girls seem to mature a bit faster than boys, and I wasn't quite ready for this, and I think age may have had a bit to play in junior and senior high. Matt did well and was one of the older kids. But I can see both sides of this. I would not want to make this decision again!!!

Well y'all be careful out there. Gonna start getting things around for werk. Hope for short day.... kids are in class now, and they are out of the lab by 0930. So a bit of pick up, check for tools, and I can be done by 10. Then see if boss man wants me tomorrow....maybe long weekend!!! Enjoy your day!! Lurker out.......

I always wrap in pink butcher paper (unwaxed) at around 145°. The stall is created because the juices present in the meat are cooling it instead of cooking it which is why I will never inject it with anything. The paper helps get through this while still allowing the smoke flavour into the meat. Some folks use foil but that makes the bark soft.
