I don't remember how Dave got in without a helmet.
First heard California Dreaming while driving my Dad's '66 Corvair (a great handling car, despite what that idiot Nader claimed) into the college campus in the rain. Thought it sounded pretty cool, but Monday, Monday... meh. At the time never dreamed I'd hear it a couple years later on the Armed Forces network through the headset in my helmet flying over a place I have no desire to see again.
Thermostats... Liked my round Honeywell but the installer said it wouldn't handle my latest furnace. Now I have to push buttons instead of just turning a dial. Carol got talked into a high end thermostat with her furnace and has to keep the instruction book by it....

The forum, as usual, delivers. I took the advice to check our utility company for deals and they had the Nest for $79 each, so I bought 2.
