Finally got a real rain, supposedly about 1 1/2" in my area. Well over a foot of water in the gully, garden is muddy, and more rain forecast in a couple days. Grass looks like it's growing noticeably in a few hours, hope that's just an illusion. Morning weather said 80's today, but it didn't even reach 70 till after noon, feels nice out there. Just too wet to do anything... Had the 5 and 2 year old Gkids this morning, all things considered, I think this is a good time for a nap.

If you’re like me, you probably didn’t have a net either. Hope I can have one big enough to let my kid chase his dreams when the time comes.
My parents and grand parents helped me out a lot in my early adult life. But not because I was spoiled, but because I was working my *** off as an apprentice with a wife and two kids. We were barely scraping by and if my family hadn't helped, it would have been much longer before I could buy our first home. I think they saw the effort and rewarded that.

And I've tried to do the same with my kids. My daughter (32 y.o mother of 3) just bought her 1st home last week with a little help from me, Cheryl, and my ex.

As far as Cheryl's kid goes, between his dad, Cheryl, and I, he's had a free ride all the way through college and has had a free place to live since he graduated. He has been gracious enough to tell Cheryl (but not me oddly enough) that because of us, he's been able to save quite a bit of cash to make a good start on his own.

BOB! I hope you see this... Hi.

I ordered the Muller clutch slave finally. I've done enough research I think, that I believe that's the right one. It was the one thing I REALLY wish I had on our ride. My hand was cramping after some of those days.

There is none, you're perfectly OK. Deming is cheaper and Kettering allows one to stay in touch in touch via VPN.

Good on you Bob . Nothing more you can do than that. As Larry said, a helping hand does far more than a hand out. Too many parents do more harm than good when they do too much. Their “generosity “ actually results in a handicap instead of a blessing.

I went back and read a little. Bob, I'm nowhere near the parenting level you are, but I think that helping our kids who are clearly trying to help themselves is a great thing. We're there to support. Kids that get the free ride will never learn responsibility, just how to blame others.

Good evening all. Since the wife missed out I made some more guacamole for happy hour. She ate about one spoonful. Oh well more for me.
