TOAK, The Thread of All Knowledge Part XIII
Good day to all. Morning infusion underway.
Found out last night that the daughter of one of my nurses has tested positive for the 'rona. Awesome.. The nurse herself is being tested this morning so I guess we'll see if there's cause for concern. I'm pretty immuno-compromised right now and don't need to catch a cold much less influenza or something similar.

Morning Tracy. Just what you need right? Fingers crossed for you.
Question - when Cheryl had the PIC line it was the series of injections like we talked about. But it took us maybe 5 minutes. I essentially hooked up the series of 4 shots and the only one that took any time was the antibiotic shot which we spread out over a minute. Sounds like yours is something different. Is it a machine or a drip?

Morning all.
Hopefully you have a pretty good doctor looking over you Tracy. Looking forward to seeing you in Kalifornia while I still live here.

Thanks Greg.
It's actually like a balloon containing 250ml of vancomycin. Takes almost 2 hours for the infusion to complete.

Ya know, some of the unexpected side effects of the heart surgery were the mental changes I have experienced. Better now but man I went from having a bit of a short fuse temper wise to basically no fuse at all. After the initial surgery Sweet T and I went into Sam's Club to get some stuff. Now granted I was still sore and all but this is kind of how it went...
You know the guys at the front trying to sell you phones and services right?
We walk in...
Them "Can I interest you in.."
Me "No"
Them " How about..."
Me "No"
Them "Why not..."
Me "How about you shut the F up when I tell you I'm not interested in the F'n **** you are trying to sell me?"
This was not said quietly and it came out of nowhere. T was looking at me with her eyes like saucers. She was extremely embarrassed. I actually went back and apologized to the kid.
