TOAK, The Thread of All Knowledge Part XIII
We are finalizing the deal to have fake wood, waterproof vinyl plank flooring installed everywhere but the bedrooms. Currently it is tile or carpet. Right after we bought this home prices in this hood went up 40-50%, I guess we had dumb luck timing. We updated the counter tops to granite, replaced all the plumbing fixtures, updated the appliances and installed the party pad with landscaping in the back. Flooring is next and then a year or two down the road the master bath will need to be updated. It's crazy really because the house is 24 years old and although many items were outdated they were in perfect shape. It was owned by a bachelor who was on the road working all the time. The fireplace had never had a fire in it. He said he may have baked one frozen pizza in the oven. He had no landscaping whatsoever because he was not here to keep it up. It was custom built in '97 and the inspector told me this house was in better shape than the new ones he inspects. The roof was less than a year old too. We practically stole it. I did not get to ride to lunch. Ms Tonebender woke up with a swollen eye and I had to take her in for maintenance. She is resting comfortably now. Everyone ride safe.

Sounds like you haven't seen some of the newer Disney movies...

Carol begged me into going there with her a while back, almost 2 hours in the store. She needs shopping lessons from my daughter, Audrey can go through one of those places in 20 minutes.
I was encumbered today and spent $237 in about that length of time. I was sent with a list, the chicharrones were a bonus.

Saigon 2.0. Just disgusting we couldn't have done better. I expected something like this 20 years ago, but it still sucks. Wonder if the Chinese will do better when they're the world's policeman, but I won't live long enough to find out.

When I spent that much in a big box store, it was usually for one item. Most I ever spent at once was that gray trailer I hauled the sportster on, from Sam's. Sam's Club visits have gotten at least 50% higher since I retired, and usually just get the same stuff.
Leaving work, picking up paperwork. Went to talk with my coworkers, got told that's a no go while I'm on paid leave status
