How in H can no one GET a job? I've been all over the US this summer and EVERYWHERE are help wanted signs with plenty of businesses shuttered on slow days due to staff shortage.

 

Simple, Rick. Until the govt funny money runs out why should they bother?

 

I think it's mostly the hourly wage jobs Rick. And as Mick mentioned, why work for it when it's just handed to you? Which of course is short sighted. It will come to an end and then they can go grovel for minimum wage instead of having been in a position that started higher and hopefully some raises in the meantime.

Or those people will be fired and cheaper labor hired.
