Ok the wet rim board is sectioned and removed, now I have to go get a replacement.
The subfloor has a little water damage but I think it’s confined to just under the door frame and does not go under the hardwood floors in the dining room.

So here's my show and tell -
I had to replace the sewage soaked sub-floor. The room was original as big as the marble tiled area. I expanded it by the width of the plywood shown, so 38 inches. Doesn't sound like much but it made all the difference in the world. Basically added 30% more floor space. The marble is installed over slab so I'm leaving it, matched the height (basically) with the sub floor, and then used self leveling compound. That will dry overnight and I'll then do the floating floor tomorrow. It's a waterproof, cork backed vinyl.

In keeping with the homeowner happiness trend ... I discovered a ( what I believe is ) ground hog hole/ burrow at the edge of the deck that tunnels down along side the house foundation ... No luck in deterring this unwanted guest so far, ( I've tried flooding the burrow to no avail ) however tomorrow morning I will be greeting him ( her ) with a cup of coffee, a hose, a seat for me and my trusty .22 and as much patience as I can muster for Round 2 :<(
