TOAK, The Thread of All Knowledge Part XIII
Hope all ends well, Chuck. I am concerned that Al, after receiving puppy, has his priorities askew and is enjoying the new family member with wife, grandson, sons, friends, etc before posting pics here.
We are gonna need to speak with him.

Evening gents!
It was 400+ miles according to Google maps. I didn't clock it but it felt like every bit of that. It was a good shake down cruise to see what need be done to make the bike comfortable. Overall the bike did great. It's very quick, handles well, and the suspension smooths out our shitty roads which was the main reason I got it. At 100 it feels like the Street Glide did at 70. I set the cruise at 90 and it felt like a Sunday morning ride in the country - very relaxed. Wind management is excellent. The faster we went, the bigger the bubble of quiet air. Minimal heat off the motor.
That said, it needs work ergonomically speaking. It feels great for about 2 hours. Then the seat gets uncomfortable and the knees get sore, especially for Cheryl. There's too much bend at the knees and only one foot position so moving to stretch isn't an option yet. The Street Glide was excellent in that regard. That said, I threw a wheel barrow full of money at the SGS to make it so. I can do the same to the BMW but it will require two wheel barrows. Right now the list is as follows -
1. Russel Daylong seat - $1200
2. Engine guards with highway pegs - $700
3. Lowering kit with footboards for Cheryl - $400
4. Lowering kit for my pegs - $200 (such a deal!)
This trip was to pick up a "tall" seat (I'll use it for around town) from another BMW guy. Great dude. Reminded me a lot of @Backforty (but nowhere near as good looking) . He and his wife (nowhere near as pretty as Trish) invited us to sit and have a couple Pepsis and shoot the ****. Turns out they are moving to Scottsdale so we have someone to ride with there. But their dog is an *******. It bit me (lightly). Fvck that dog.

Speaking of Al's new pup it goes without saying dogs are great judges of character. Oh, hi, Bob...
Don't think that didn't occur to me Mick. Normally dogs love me. Cheryl too. But it bit her when she went into the house too. I think that one was just an *******.

Afternoon all.
Did some car shopping today. Walked away. $5000 over MSRP.
Having dinner in Pismo beach. Doing the tourist thing. Going to have some excellent clam chowder in a sourdough bowl.
