Slept about 10 hours, think I'm past the crest of whatever bug I have, finally feeling better today. Last night my Mexican style meal didn't taste spicy at all, and I could hardly taste breakfast this morning. Took a sniff from the garlic and cinnamon jars and could barely smell them. Maybe I have antibodies for the Delta variant now.

The original covid only felt like a mild cold for 3 days, but then I felt exhausted for 3 or 4 weeks, in a way that colds and flu haven't done to me. I feel like that with this, too. Since I'm already recovering, not going to bother getting tested, what difference would it make.

Sure have a lot of garden work to catch up with, but I don't feel up to it yet. Riding... 'tween the heat and this, not even thinking about it yet. Well, maybe once or twice a day.

Zero turn story: A friend and I managed to visit another friend at the same time, and had a few hours before he would get home. His wife told us he planned on mowing that evening, a couple acres. We decided to have it done before he got home, and the other guy had never used a zero turn (John Deere 60"). He wanted to go first so I watched him mow curves and hit a couple trees for 15 or 20 minutes before I told him use one lever as throttle, the other to steer. Immediately mowed straight lines, and when he stopped, asked me why the hell didn't I tell him that to start with.

I know some people do it different, but that's an easy way to get a beginner started.

You're flying over a rain forest with a 200' solid canopy as far as you can see, with a 50' clearing below you. Want an airplane or a helicopter?

This one didn't have a clearing. I took the second photo, wasn't at the crash site.

I've flown in a helicopter once since Vietnam, actually enjoyed it, but I haven't been off the ground in one since, and won't do so again just for fun, Came too close to dying in one too many times.

You can take pictures from an airplane, too. I wouldn't go near a tour helicopter, complicated piece of machinery probably getting minimal maintenance.

That depends on what you’re looking at, I took this video a few years ago in Hawaii after installing cameras on the HPD helicopters.

Hahahaha.....Only on TOAK.
Whilst Moldie is offering a detailed discussion of helicopter maintenance, especially during war time, Russ comes long and posts great pictures of a couple nearly nekkids taken from a chopper.
I love this place.
Carry on !
