Well what a day.... rain from about 11am to late afternoon. Made it to the cemetery and it was a small service. Funeral home found a couple of Sailors who would fold and present the flag. Thought we were busy with 4 services in 8 days, the poor Sailors had 5 today and 4 tomorrow! We got a little wet, it was misting rather than raining! I met the Sailors to discuss procedures and how they wanted to work, then the Priest came up and asked about procedures. The young lady Sailor said we could do the military honors first then they could conclude with the service. When the Priest left, she told me we would do this then leave. She had her wits about her and got us all out quicker than normal!! All in a days work!
And welcome home Russ. Hopefully the plane had a P&W engine and made it a quick trip home!!!
Mick....this is all through our American Legion Post. I am the Honor Guard Captain, so I get all the calls and organize our Honor Guard. I did a number of PGR rides in the past, but have not done any in quite a while. Mostly all funerals and those are a couple hour ride one way. Nothing local.

That would be her, actually. I'm more into riding the bikes and visiting Jim Beam
dawgs an beans here....perfect baseball fare
actually started raining with a few more passes to do...it was worth getting a little wet and seeing the 19 year old bikini wearing neighbors daughter scamper from the deck she was enjoying

Evening Woodsnitzes, made it safely to the porch where a frosty cold beverage was waiting for me.
