Today's grind is over. The actual grinding part involved 6 thick pork cutlets, biggest I've ever gotten. Fed them into the meat grinder along with strips of bacon using the coarse plate, then fed that back through using the fine hole plate to mix the bacon in real good. Made a bunch of patties, hamburger size, and fried enough to fill a quart baggie; that will be frozen and I'll scoop out what I want to put in soups, pasta dishes and maybe eggs. Unlike store bought sausage or ground pork, this crumbled easily while cooking. First time I've put bacon in the grind, definitely enhances the flavor.

Tomorrow I get all 4 grandkids in the afternoon, till sometime after midnite. Carol is coming over to help, and I expect to be exhausted after having the 5 of them for probably around 9 to 10 hours. Might not get on the 'puter unless I do it in the morning.

I haven't seen that stuff in many years, thought it went away. Or maybe it just isn't carried here.

Bacon can make olive oil taste good Mike.

Interesting. I’ve been down in the bar chatting with the pilot who will be flying us home tomorrow. He and the stewardess that was down there as well got juiced by the airline at the last minute. I told him that I felt I could speak for all the other passengers when I said we know how it feels. He had three beers then left, no America West incidents here!

Interesting.
What was the reason for the cancellation?

Maintenance in DFW delayed nearly 4 hours and the pilots timed out enroute. I guess they can’t turn it around at night?

He's back in his room with the stewardess, dropping a couple hits of Acid.
