TOAK, The Thread of All Knowledge Part XIII
Mick, I don't have one of those homosexual extension cords with male plugs on each end.
you can pick one up at the local DNC headquarters.
Mornin, Woods. I have a dilemma. I am riding to the places listed in my Route 66 Passport and one of them is the American Banjo Museum, located right here in downtown OKC. Would it be rude to have them stamp the book and not pay the admission? I mean, just how fascinating can a banjo exhibit be?
Given his obsession with all things banjo I am contemplating mailing the book to Bob and letting him handle this one.

Well had a short day today. Got to werk and supervisors truck was there. Went into the shop and he wasn't at his desk. No problem... he's prolly down talking to the big boss. So I started sweeping and picking up things off the floor. After an hour or so I text him and asked where he was. He forgot to tell me he was heading out to pick up some machine parts for the machine shop. Told him I had been sweeping and some cleaning....he told me I could leave if I wanted. Almost left without thanking him!!! So my riding buddy texts me and says he wants to ride to his lake and ride his new pontoon. So I told him sure....I can ride up. And test his pontoon for its drinking abilities. So we'll be leaving a bit later this afternoon. Should be able to get my nap in between now and then!!!

Yesterday, we put in a big day. 9 hour ride with very little stopping. The round trip came to 110 miles with a quarter tank of fuel remaining. Pretty impressed with the fuel consumption.
Pics to follow when we get back home (today).

Wet and cool here, sure doesn't take long for the gr*ss & weeds to green up with a few days of occasional showers. The gully in back should be dry enough tomorrow for the mower on the hill. Good thing it has 20+ hp, will be a workout, been a few weeks although most of the growth is just this past week. Plan for the next couple or three cool days is drilling a lot of holes in metal and lots of screws in wood, should have a sore back by the weekend. Might fit in a ride, don't know when we'll have cool days again.
Russ, is the work down south enough you won't go overseas again? Didn't sound like you were thrilled much with the project in Turkey a few years ago.
