TOAK, The Thread of All Knowledge Part XIII
Good morning all. Nice selection Greg. Well, the storm is here right off the coast from my lattitude. Just some rain and wind so far. I went out front and honestly there is less tree debris on the ground from the oaks than there is during a normal afternoon thunderstorm. Looking at the radar it should be out of the area in an hour or so. Some areas of the state are getting hammered with rain though, some flooding is expected. I may get to ride later today. Vacation starts today. Everyone ride safe.

Mornin, Woods. I have a dilemma. I am riding to the places listed in my Route 66 Passport and one of them is the American Banjo Museum, located right here in downtown OKC. Would it be rude to have them stamp the book and not pay the admission? I mean, just how fascinating can a banjo exhibit be?
Given his obsession with all things banjo I am contemplating mailing the book to Bob and letting him handle this one.

G'Morning, Woods.....came back to lake yesterday evening to power outage in the area. Fast moving storm ripped through earlier taking out trees and power lines. I laughed, thinking " I'm ready for this".... I'll use the new generator that I bought this Spring except I never took it out of the box. Unpacked it and realized that I never bought motor oil for it. Scrounged enough oil from two neighbors to get it running. Two pulls and it fired right up. Had an impromptu "fire and liquor" party with a couple neighbors and made the statement " When Mother Nature brings you darkness, Al brings you fire and light". Power came back on while we were sitting there so I never got to use the generator. Good time, though. I love this place....
