Re-Morning, Woods......started out nice and calm and caught a really nice 18". Then wind kicked up, Motored over to a little cove to get out of the wind and apparently the fish had the same idea. Caught 3 14-15" ones. Time for a scrambled eggs, pepperoni and cooper sharp breakfast.

Al, is this a typical fishing story, or were the fish really that big?

True story. That's really not big but decent size for up here. We've caught some 3 lb ones and one that had to be 5 lbs...24"+ range. That's a monster for here

Bob, largemouth bass.
That's a great catch Al! I used to fish Largemouth, Smallies, and Stripers in Arkansas. Lots of Crappie too. Here in Wisconsin it's mostly Walleye and Northern. Plenty of Musky too, but I'm not into that.

Bob, I see videos of Southern bass...OMG! Those guys use 20-30 lb test line. I use 6 lb test. This little lake has some good fishing, s'posed to have some really big northern pike. I caught a 28", my neighbor caught 1 36" which is small for northerns. talked to a guy the other day and he swears he had one close to 48" and lost him at the boat. #1 son, SIL and g'son fish Lake Ontario and get some really big northerns there.
