TOAK, The Thread of All Knowledge Part XIII
Lol......the plumber told me he was going to recommend I just duct tape it to keep the gases sealed in temporarily. But once he saw that the access is basically impossible he reconsidered.
Funny guy. Probably spent 15 minutes on the actual work and 30 minutes talking bikes and trips.

I agree Greg. Just shitty timing all around. Like the worst timing. But I appreciate everyone's support and encouragement.

The second shot was a little like a mild cold for about 24 hours, but in a couple days I felt fine. Sure glad it didn't give me the tired and wiped out feeling I had for 3 or 4 weeks after getting Nature's vaccination. The needle is a lot better than the disease.

Bob, thought of something today, could you get something that makes ozone? Doesn't take much to wipe out organic odors. I have a thing that's claimed to be an air purifier, but what it does is ionize particles in the air so they stick together and fall on the floor (and furniture), and has an adjustable ozone generator built in. I keep on minimum, no smell, eliminates the mold I found out likes to grow in the basement and bathrooms. Several years ago, the sewer on my street got an ice dam in it, and when the crew cleared it, the liquid build up behind it pulled a vacuum behind it rushing out, and then the drop in pressure in the house sucked a whole bunch of sewer gas into the house (I could really feel the pressure changes, but it was finished before I could open a window). We faced a night in a motel, but I turned the gadget's ozone on high, and in half an hour the smell was gone and didn't come back. Something like that placed in the bathroom would probably kill the smell before it left the bathroom. Wouldn't help with being able to use the toilets, though, just the smell.
