The part that is broken is the main bathroom drain inside the house. All three bathrooms tie together upstream. In fact the only thing not on that pipe is the kitchen.

From there it connects to a big cast iron T fitting and the pipe that goes out to our septic tank leaves the house at that point. So the pipe to the septic tank is okay (I think, but God only knows). But the pipe inside the house, under the slab and our new wood floors, is FUBAR. I don't know what all the options are, but I suspect that I'm going to hear that the floor needs to be cut to access the pipe. That is going to really suck as we just had the floors done and it wasn't a cheap date.

Price we pay for buying a contemporary home with no basement or access to the mechanicals.

Bob, I truly feel sorry for you on this one...I doubt that homeowners would cover it based on a almost similar incident that I had. I would make a call to my insurance anyway.

Sorry to hear that, Bob. Could be if you interview a few companies in the business, one of them might know of an easier fix than what it looks like right now. Might try finding an old guy with a few decades of experience, might have run into about the same thing before.

Bob, really sorry to hear this. Truely hope you find a less painful remedy. Guess I have to hike over to WI to meet sometime. Was really looking forward to meeting.
Thanks for all the birthday wishes, no big plans today. Actually spent a good part of the day sleeping off yesterday's Moderna Covid shot #2, which kind of kicked my ***. That's what I get for going to the Walmart pharmacy! Absolutely no energy but I'll be rarin' to go again by the end of this week, for the gathering.

Oh, and it looks like the P51 mock-up out at the museum is getting a face lift. It's fiberglass.

Hopefully the floors don't need tore out and it's a quick and easy. I always approach major purchases with a "Can I work on it" attitude. Even if not, it means it won't cost much for the guy who can
