You're gonna need 8 hour protection or in lieu of that lots of neighbors to eat the leftovers.

Bob, I feel your frustration. Buried drain plumbing really sucks to fix. Few years ago, replaced the iron with pvc and found cracks in the black plastic above, replaced all that, routed that better, too, and some stud work. The job just kept getting worse, but finally got past all the bad spots. I hope... Something else rots through under the concrete, I'll use the money meant for something less important and hire someone to fix it.

This is between the 2nd level and 1st level -
Pretty much as I described - sump crock for wash machine discharge (I'll fill in with sand and concrete), and the nastyass pipe that's leaking. The smell is driving me insane.
That looks remarkably like my second level Mike. I should mention that my house is built into a hill and is 4 levels. The 2nd level is the entrance level.

Unfortunately not Stan. That pipe runs under the slab over to the main junction point of the upper bathrooms. So I'll have to clean that out some more and likely repack the joint that's leaking. I'll use marine JB weld. Then I'll seal up the wall. Hopefully that is all.

Sounds like a plan Bob.
