Evenin Woods, back from my ride to the H-D dealership where I bought the RoadKing. It was kind of a waste of time. All new staff, their operations is not running very smooth. I asked about them checking my bike for updates. They looked up the procedure and it said it could be done free of charge by them or it could be done by the customer. They said “ we’re too busy to look at it “. Turns out the only part I can do is the infotainment system. I asked about them price matching Surdyke’s price on the shop manual $97, they said sorry, our price is $136 take it or leave it. They said $97 is ONLY $20 over their cost . No dice on the heated grips either.
Chuck, I rarely find any dealer with better prices than Surdyke. I think I mentioned Grand Rapids Harley in your state used to be about as good, haven't bought from them in years.
I’m going to go ahead and order it from Surdyke, in just need to pair it some additional items to get the free shipping.
Chuck, that's a bum deal. Not much better out here though. Mick is right, Surdyke has the best prices I've seen. As it is, I ride to Temple, about 115 miles, to get decent service vs my "local" dealer that's still fsr away.
