Dang Stan....that's one app I hadn't thought of. Al..... just got a flier from Harbor Freight....sale on black or white zip ties for $2 per hundred. That's 2 pennies each!!! I can speak from experience, these do work. I haven't broke one yet!

BTW...the "correct way to do that application is the stranded wires must overlap completely up to the insulation., then multiple color matching zip ties are used with one next to the other to completely enclose the splice. The locking tabs of the zip ties should be on the back side.
