The motion that bothers me most is twisting side to side. The other is bending slightly at the waist, as you do at a sink to wash dishes, your hands, shave, etc.

That bothers me and I haven't had surgery. Been bending over lathes and mills like that for 40 years and it still hurts.

Mick, I have a back rest but I keep it in the saddle bag folded up until I need it. It feels cramped with it on. But is amazing on long rides.

I have to say, I'm happy for you. New bikes are always exciting and RKs are timeless classics. I love them.
