TOAK, The Thread of All Knowledge Part XIII
The Doc suspects she has a 'saddle blood clot' at the point where a major artery splits to supply blood to each rear leg.
She had difficulty controlling her gait and gnawed her inside haunches raw apparently trying to mitigate the pain.
Doc gave her a cortisone shot, shaved the raw spots and we are giving her gabapentin and applying gold bond powder.

Tracy is still in ICU. He is doing as well as can be expected, I guess. Lots of pain. He's also dealing with AFib today. Apparently that's normal in 20 to 60% of patients. Sometimes it goes away and sometimes it doesn't. I think he will remain in ICU as long as the AFib is present. He really loves his heart shaped pillow that he is supposed to hug when he coughs. He has told me that each time I saw him. He hasn't felt like eating anything, but enjoys the coffee from home I take in for him. It's so much better than that Starbucks crap. I am not sure he remembers me coming by and has lost all track of days/times. The drugs are quite effective in making him forget, but only so-so on the pain. Anyway, Thank you for your thoughts and prayers. He is a lucky man to call y'all friends. As am I. Lucky that is. Not a man. 😁.
Love you guys.
Tracy

Thanks, Greg. With what has gone on with Chuck's Dad, Rick's Dad and Tracy I almost feel guilty mentioning it.

Yeah she’s doing ok. She’s getting the fevers now. Tomorrow I think she’s going to call to make an appointment for a covid test. It wasn’t supposed to be until Monday, as per orders (AHS-Alberta Health Services)
