Played around with it a bit more. Trying to discover what I can make it do. Managed to check 1 part manually without breaking anything. I'd call that a success.

 

What does a machine like that cost?

 

About $90,000.

 

Did it replace a machine or is it in addition to?

 

This in addition to an older unit we have. When SpaceX came through for their evaluation last year, they docked us for not having a modern CMM.

Brutal outside today, real windy and -12 when I got the mail. Got it for the next door neighbor too and pulled her trashcan back from the curb, felt like my jacket was turning to ice in that short time. Wore my goggles and left the glasses in the house, eyes would have teared up instantly in that cold wind. Gonna be incredible tomorrow. Also noticed my van tires are low, pressure really drops in these temps. I should probably adjust the pressure back down when it warms up above 10 this weekend.
