After his lordship's request to pre-grind the coffee the night before was met with laughter, I have not had a repeat request.

Now that school is in person he has to be up super early to make it to work by 7 AM. Of course Cheryl gets up to make coffee, breakfast, and lunch for him. Maybe I'll need to tell her to per-grind the coffee to allow me to sleep in a bit undisturbed.

“Freshly ground” apparently has no value to him?

Since we have a group of romantics here this morning, I have a question: ....It's my wife's 70th birthday on Monday and the closest IHOP is 30 miles away, Do you think that it's irrational to buy her 70 roses ? I like the idea because it is irrational and a total waste of money (my MO) !

Al, I think the roses are a splendid idea....even though in her heart the Senior 2X2X2 , with sausage, at IHOP would be better.

Purchase two teacup rose plants and tell her there are 70 blooms and she needs to plant them somewhere.

Cheryl and I passed some sort of marriage test this morning. I was carrying a very large, very full cup of very hot coffee to the kitchen. Cheryl came around the corner - looking behind her while walking - and ran smack into me. We almost pulled it off as I had prevented the coffee from spilling at first. But, in an attempt to regain balance, she reached out to the wall to stabilize and in the process, spiked my coffee holding arm into the wall. Coffee everywhere. Normally one or both of us would have had a fit but we both briefly blamed the other and quickly moved on to clean up the mess together.

This may work.
Me an Mary would still be laughing.....we honestly don't give a **** when it comes to messes....yeah it sucks , but we clean it an move on...with a grin.
