I have mine registered for 26,000 so it keeps me out of the non commercial CDL BS.. my truck weighs 9300 full of fuel, tool box and me in it.. allows me 3,000 lbs on the truck itself including the pin weight of the trailer..

They are getting shitty about the combo registrations here, if you aren't registered properly and you get into an accident they will cause you big problems. I have friends that were not registered properly and have been cited for it, they told me ohh you don't need to because it isn't commercial, you may find that that is not the case if you get a cop with a bad attitude.

Just remember to weigh your rig for the total combo weight so you have some idea what you are dealing with, I carry the weight slip in my truck of the truck alone and the total rig.
