The August heat can be unbearable !
Too bad Russ didn't plan a trip for something like early June. Sheeeesh.

 

Sometime he just doesn't plan well.

 

Dad had his 1st chemo treatment yesterday and aside from feeling nauseous today he said he feel generally OK. He did say they gave him a drugstore worth of meds to fend of side effects of the chemo. He is awaiting an appointment for an MRI to pinpoint where he needs radiation on his spine to alleviate the lesions. I only spoke with him by text so I dont know his actual mood, but will call later today on my way home from work to see what the gauge is on that. His next chemo is in 3 weeks.

Looks like maybe I'll be getting two free lunches on my return to Texas trip.

Dang Rick. Going to be praying for your Dad and you too. That's gotta be rough to deal with.

As far as lunch, I gotchu dawg! Just give me a heads up when you're on your way out so I get get in uniform and get that 50% Whataburger discount.
