Up about 50 cents a lb from a year ago at Costco. $3.50 lb actually isn't bad compared to other lunch meats, lot cheaper than most sandwich meats. The flavored stuff (like bacon spam) is a lot higher than the plain or low salt cans. It's a few cents cheaper at Sam's Club, but they only have the original version in the store. Food prices across the board have really gone up since I retired 12 years ago, I've quit buying several things I used to get on a regular basis. My garden hobby that didn't used to save a dime is easily worth a month's grocery cost now, maybe two. But I have to buy all my meat. Never had much luck fishing, would be nice to keep several pounds in the freezers. Hunting... costs too much, that's an expensive hobby. Around here, anyway.

Looks like you had an interesting day, Russ. That plane used primarily for drug interdiction, or does it monitor ship traffic for other reasons?

I'm shutting down a little earlier tonight. Too long since an early supper, a light snack, maybe just some oatmeal, and hit the bed before I fall asleep in the recliner like I did last night. Woke up at 4:30 am. Was tempted to stay in the chair, but knew I'd sleep better in the bed.
