Russ, did you say you’re in Panama ?. In the second picture, that’s a lot of ship traffic. They all look to headed left to right. Going where ?.

Nice pics guys. I'm envious. Except for Chuck. That sucks. Glad no one was hurt.
Had a beer meeting tonight to plan our annual "big" bike trip. These guys feel a once a year trip of three days is a big deal. My riding buddy and I keep our mouths shut and let them brag about it. NOT! But these are great guys and they are not long distance riders. We plan on a trip up west side of Michigan and have a couple of overnight stops.....to include a bit of alcohol!! Not sure yet if Bob and I will take our annual big trip this year or not. Between our family commits and the chinese flu, we're not sure what we could really do. But we won't give it up yet.

They are all waiting to go into the Panama canal.

Chuck, sorry to see the mishap. Once fixed, you'll never know it was there.

Sucks about the truck, Chuck. I hate when I do that to myself.

I counted 35 tankers/ freighters in that frame WOW . And to think, when we owned it, they probably all paid us a toll.

Tht isn't all of them either. There were more in other areas not to mention the ones on the Caribbean side. I calculated once that this country makes 400 million dollars a month on crossings and that was a conservative estimate. Thanks Jimmy Carter.

Chuck, every one of the blue marks represents a ship with an AIS transmitter. It is an “automatic identification system” that is used to track their movements. The aircraft here is equipped with an AIS receiver which plots their location. I can select any one of them and slew the camera to their position. It’s a bunch of ships.
