Russ,
Thanks for helping your neighbor. He, and likely others appreciate it much. Good Karma buddy !
Case in point, about 2 weeks ago.
Dad, who's 87, has a landline through his internet provider so any glitches in the cable network shut down his phone, and it's only happened like twice in 10 years. He also has a cellular Flip-phone but never leaves it where he can hear it. Relies on his landline almost 100%.
About 2 weeks ago one evening I get no answer for over 2 hours, (phone rings) and not answering his cell phone either. Internet provider tells me no outages in his area. I live about an hour away. It's 8 PM.
So, I call his 40-something lazy, quasi-worthless neighbor whom I usually chat with if I see him outside. I explain the situation next door, and that Dad's phone goes out if the cable service is interrupted and I haven't been able to reach him for over 2 hours. This man is well aware of Dad's limited abilities at his age, and I stop short of asking to walk the 30 paces next door to check on him.
The neighbor's response: "Well our cable TV is working just fine so there isn't any reason to think his phone isn't working" , then complete silence. I thought MAYBE he would offer to check on him. I was disappointed enough to end the call at that point.
Called the local PD who gladly did a welfare check, and Dad was fine. A modem reboot got his phone working again. I wasn't too impressed with the neighbor's lack of consideration. Maybe I expect too much.
Rant over. LOL

Mick, can you believe Stan won’t buy those collars for the bolts on his bike? Look at all the scratch he’s putting into the tour pack.
Huh, You mean from carrying the spare M8 motor ?
Rumor has it he is saving for decals.
