Boss put the first coat of turpentine / tung oil on his slab. Really brings out the color. The turpentine is to draw the oil deeper into the wood. All other coats will be pure tung oil. Over the next 2 months he will do 7 more coats with sanding between coats. Each coat has to settle in for at least 2 weeks. Its a long process but once finished the oil will oxidize and protect the wood.
Re-Morning, Woods....busy doing "manly" stuff this morning...Trying to buy tables for up the lake. Had ones on order since June but have been discontinued. Add furniture to the list of stuff you can't get anymore. How is this economy going to improve when you can't buy anything!

Lou, I thought of that ! I have no desire to get into that. I'm getting either older and wiser or older and lazier...or both!
Comparing the price of new crap furniture to older used and well built furniture is crazy. It is a lot of work though. Im still young, dumb, and cheap. A cobo that sets me up for long drawn out projects.
