Sorry about your troubles Chuck. That's never fun. Bob, good to see you out and about. Russ, glad to see you had fun with Mick and made it home safe.

Hey John.... I would love to have something like that at the school..... These kids don't know what a real engine looks like!! One class is starting engine class and they are all working on 4cyl GM engines... I keep watching and asking questions because these things are all together different than what I have worked on!!! Plus these engines have been apart and together so many times the threaded holes are worn out!!!
The news said a local hospital had some thousand extra doses of vaccine and gave the website. Tried to log in but nothing on the website. Typical of my luck!! I'll keep looking and keep waiting. Some day they will get to me!
Oh......and thanks for the pics you guys.... I forgotten it was rump day today!!! And no NN! (ya know.... nice nipples!) Oh well....lurker out!!

Faux-TP / Mobile Storage Unit review highlights. Chris - check this out. What I received is (IMO) better than what I expected.
Vessel appears sufficiently thick and not flimsy, as I thought it may be. Has sufficient weight but unknown compared to EOM. Finish is acceptable plus, on a quick once-over. Vivid black paint. Will inspect closer for any issues. What appears to be imperfections in the first couple photos is dust due to all the dang static electricity. Was packaged very well.
Hinges are OK, likely not same manufacturer as OEM but appear fine to the eyeball and function as they should. Box "shape" appears OEM or close to that design. Inner liner is "OK".
While I ordered the (1) piece mounting bracket, I received a 3 pc bolted bracket. Bracket is heavy material with bolted construction / lock nuts.
Pad is acceptable for it's use nothing special. Chrome rack welds and chrome OK, without visible blotches or gaffs. OEM rack likely better attention to fabrication detail (welds).
Hard to say how long this thing lasts without signs of major degrading but for $344 with chrome luggage rack I'm pleased at this point. Next we'll see how well they executed the "fit" with brackets, etc.

Stan, does it have the inner metal bottom plate? Not a fair comparison but the factory TP with backrest, speakers and mount weighs 45 LBs.

I purchased the inner bottom plate separately for the install. 45 # is good to know, and I'll try to check it out.

Stan, you got that in quick! And a better explanation and review than I expected. It looks decent actually. Like you though, I have no experience with OEM so I wouldn't be able to guide you in that. I'm still debating on that system or just a luggage rack and put my bag on the rack and rear seat.

I can't wait to see 360° photos of it on the FugglyGlide.
