Chris, my personal best was 26* two times. One was 45 miles of highway. The other was 50 miles of back roads. Toasty warm both times. People on highway bundled up with hat and gloves on in their cars thought I was crazy...buahahahaha

When Sonic and Dairy Queen make the list of Top 5 restaurants in a town ya know you're in trouble, time to eat elsewhere.

For years I didn't have another vehicle, just the bike. I rode to and from every day to White Sands Missile Range where I worked.

One winter my wife got me heated gear because the temps were dropping. It was a record low, about 17° and my ride was over 50 miles into the middle of the desert.

My gear shorted and stopped working. I kept going and suffered early stages of frostbite and hypothermia. I don't do cold well anymore.
