TOAK, The Thread of All Knowledge Part XIII
The closest HD dealer received their inventory and sent out emails. A CVO Road Glide, $53,000. It has some bells and whistles.

We’re doing well, headed over to the other house to do some work.
You can’t touch a 3/4 ton for 50k. My BIL just purchased this Power Wagon for 63k, it is their “farm truck”.

Okay, 14 miles in 34 degree weather. The bars are comfortable. Sets me more upright in the seat and I felt relief in my neck. Still no pressure on my chest and I'm still in a bubble behind the fairing. Two inches on the windshield with a recurve would make all the difference on the highway I think. The air was just skirting over the tops of my hands and until I moved them to feel where the air was, I couldn't feel it. That said, my hands were starting to suffer, but just my fingertips. I can't say it was much worse than before when I did a few miles in 39 degree weather. I don't have lowers and my legs were suffering too. I am undecided... lol
Morning Russ, Mick, Rick, Greg, Lou, Al, Stan, Jeff, and Chris!
20 degrees and a driveway covered in snow. But it's supposed to be 40 tomorrow.
If you call you'll speak to John the owner probably. He can advise you on heights. I ordered 3 and sent back the 2 I didn't want. Shipping cost is the same so why not? My guess is you'll want a 6, 7, or 8 inch. I'm pretty tall in the saddle so I needed the 9. But I could see getting as low as a 7 inch for anything but long rides. The lower shields just look better. Plus they reduce the back pressure (wind that hits you on the back of the helmet caused by a big low pressure zone) that a large shield creates.

The lower shields do look better. The issue I had a long time ago was tall shields created a lot of back pressure and killed my back without a backrest. I could ride for hours upon hours without a backrest as long at the windshield isn't too high. But, I'll measure myself with the seat. I'm 6ft, and I see a lot of people recommending the 6.5 or 7.5 for that comfort without being too tall. The stock thing that's on there now is letting the turbulent air hit the top of my helmet. I can open the visor about half without getting wind, so it's hitting me in the forehead. A recurve or two more inches would put the air just over my helmet. A recurve disrupts the turbulent air, says the science. But the science is stupid lol.
I'll call and see what my options are and what he suggests. The ratings and reviews are great across the board. Then again, the reviews for LRS say they have horrible customer service and I have not seen that to be the case. They were very polite and professional when I spoke to them.

Good morning Rick! what bars are those you have? Are you behind the fairing? I'm just wondering. I'm still on the fence lol. Let me be clear though, I don't do long rides in sub 40 temps typically. More than my hands freeze.
Russ, I JUST saw the WS21 countdown. I've been on mobile and I can't see sigs unless I'm in desktop mode. That's super cool and exciting lol.
