TOAK, The Thread of All Knowledge Part XIII
Hears a good one about generators I was told last week.
One of the heavy duty truck shops here got the contract to service two big Rolls Royce gen sets for the hospital. These suckers are as big as a 40’ trailer.
Anyways the mechanic fires up the one gen set so it can warm up before changing the oil, starts up...squeak....
WTH...
Turns 180°, fires up the second one....squeak.
Seized both engines. Pulled the oil filters on both....sludge.
In the mechanics defence, these generators are supposed to run once a week, regardless if it needs it or not. If there was an outage, even with the first one seizing up after automatic start, the second one is backup and supposed to start up. Both would have seized regardless.

My sister has now lost power. Their kitchen stove is gas and that is all they have to survive with.

Doc, that picture makes my mind race with questions!. I can imagine the fear that would be coursing through my veins riding that contraption into battle.
Somber mood,
Son found his wife's horse down and succumb to probably cold temps after becoming entangled in the fence.
