Potentially helpful hint for those of you with frozen pipes - heat tape. Cheap and easy solution. Wrap pipe, then insulate over that. Plug into a thermostat set for 34 degrees, have a martini.

insulation over the tape rarely used in New England......at least I haven't seen any......trailer parks an such....back when I lived in one.

Why not? Works perfectly. I have some on a radiator pipe that is susceptible to freezing temps. Problem solved.

A huge necessity for trailers up here. Heat tape, insulation and skirting. Any break or holes in the skirting where the wind can get through, frozen pipes.

dunno why not....makes sense....lot of stuff in trailer parks makes sense....then again some stuff don't.
