My father is a republican, my mother was a staunch feminist democrat. My father gave in for the most part to survive. My mother ran for pubic office (state delegate) when I was in HS and barely lost to a long term incumbent. I remember her going house to house in rural areas talking to people in their homes at their kitchen tables.
I despise politics for the most part and I have seen countless friendships ended via social media.

Halito y'all. Just got home. Wife's procedure went well . She is resting now and I will head back up a bit later. She has some follow-up visits but doc was confident that things will be well. He said everything went well, so I feel much better. And relieved.
