As we all know, the clothes do not make the man, Bob. We can't all wear HBVs ya know.

Ok.....I don't know what HBVs are. And I've even had my coffee so I can't blame that.

HBV is a clothing brand Bob. Not Gucci enough so I don't imagine you'd have know that.

Moldy I may look into that come spring time. Too cold to go out in garage to work now. I would give it away to someone who could use it....if they can fix it or take it into shop for repair. Can't quite see throwing it away. Maybe fix it up and give to one of the kids.... probably the best thing for me to do!!! Thanks for the link.

Oh no. Bob, check in and let us know you're okay!

I don't go places where ice kills you. Nope, not for me. I'll keep my income tax in my own pocket thank you.

No Gucci in my closet Chris. I wouldn't buy it even if I could afford it. Plus it's made for short fat guys.

All that aside, despite my "metro" appearance, I'm a red neck. I spent my formative years in the sticks of NW Arkansas and I'm also a construction worker (electrician) by trade. So I'm more of a Hermes guy.

No ice fishing for me Chris - I'm fine, thanks for asking. I did, as mentioned earlier, stand around on the ice watching other people fish last weekend. But the ice was 7 inches thick on a small inland lake.

We do get out on the ice to have fun but I'm super cautious. I check the ice reports (yes, we have those) and only go where I see other vehicles. My idiot friend asked me to plow his pond and he assured me the ice was "2 feet thick". I immediately smelled BS, as he is prone to, so I told him I want proof. He drilled it - 3 inches. In his defense, he's Canadian, so maybe it converts that way in his mind. Needless to say, I wasn't taking $12K worth of ATV out on his friggin pond.

Here's a shot of Cheryl doing donuts on a nearby lake. At that point the ice was 8 inches overall.

You can see the boat launch behind her.

But all of this is going to be a thing of the past. Cheryl has agreed to the move. She wants North Carolina, which I am fine with. I hope to have maybe one more winter here. With any luck sooner. Oh, and my boss is fine with it too.
