I take that back on the "fix" part. Got a call from my main Builder about 5 yrs ago. 4,000 ft new construction house slab, guy had sheet rock cracking in his bedroom, door wouldn't close, he said my foundation had settled. My Builder asked for my help and I obliged. We went and looked at it and the second I stepped in the back yard I knew the problem. Master bedroom was in the back of the house next to the patio.
Owner put a pool in within 10' of the back of his house and patio. Well, doesn't take a genius to figure out the problem. I set my Laser up and shot the entire perimeter of the house. Only place it settled was in the back part of the house next to the pool. No ****. You took away the undisturbed soil.
I spent 3 days with my crew at no charge, cost me about $2,500 in labor, just my guys. We jacked it up and fixed it.
Guy was so thrilled he went to the BBB and left a glowing report about how great we were....no ****....
FWIW, totally depends on the ground. Some places you could have gotten away with it. This particular ground, putting a pool that close? No No!!!

I have a feeling I wouldn't get the Harley museum/factory tour Jason Momoa did. I get the impression he's a little over the top crazy for old Harleys. I gotta get in that place some day, drove by it once but didn't have the time to stop.
