TOAK, The Thread of All Knowledge Part XIII
Evening Greg! It's a 82 GPZ 750. Bought it from my neighbor for $150 and sold it via a Facebook group (because that's all I use Facebook for really) for $1200. Hadn't run in 13 years and needed a lot of work. I'm not super familiar with inline 4s so I decided to send it down the road. An old BMW came up and Cheryl said 5 bikes was enough. I want that BMW something has to go. I knew that GPZs have a following, so it was the natural choice.
Here's the BMW project -
It's the same model as the one I already have but this one came available for a price I couldn't say no to. It obviously needs some love. I'll strip all the bags and fairing off and see where I'm at with it. I have a lot of spare parts for that model, so I should be able to have it running and riding for not too much $$. Looking good? That adds more $$.
Stan is "new school" BMW. That bike is definitely old school.
And don't tempt him!

Here's my other one. It's actually only a few weekends away from being back on the road.
Ultimately it (and the blue one, but I'll choose a color besides red) will look much like this one -

Evening Mick!
It was actually sitting in a barn. The story is the owner restored it some years back. He rode it a bit and parked it for some reason. And there it sat for at least 10 years I'm thinking. The motor is stuck, but that doesn't surprise me. My guess is the rings glued themselves to the cylinders just sitting there in the damp barn. I'll fill the bike with Marvel Mystery oil and work the motor gently. I'm betting it comes free. I'll still need to do a hone and rings, but it should be ok.
I saw two new school BMW riders on the road today. It was snowing and the roads were salt soaked. Hard core.

Ok, guys.
Here's the latest.
I need 2 volunteers to collect deposits and sign rental agreements for 2 of the units. I am being asked to only be responsible for one unit.
Whoever volunteers, will collect the deposit for that unit and sign a rental agreement and send the deposit to Marcia. As soon as I know who these people are, we can get the ball rolling.
I have chosen the Gold Mill side of the townhomes. That is the one on the left looking at them in the pictures.
Thanks.
